Nadine and Austen's story began in college when they first met in Wisconsin. Life took them in different directions, but they later rekindled their relationship. Now, as Washington transplants, having fallen in love with their new home, they cherish daily walks with their dog through Seattle's lush park trails, and enjoy their weekend adventures exploring the rugged coastlines and mountains. When it came time to choose a wedding venue for their predominantly out-of-town guests, they wanted choose a place that truly captured the essence of the Pacific Northwest, and found the perfect spot at Fern Acres in Forks, WA, on the Olympic Peninsula.

More than a few guests were surprised to discover Nadine’s hidden talent for baking pies. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple chose a sweet twist. For weeks leading up to the wedding, she poured her heart into baking dozens of pies and mini tarts from scratch, creating a dessert experience that was as personal as it was delicious!
